'Hello Life' is my Creative Blog Hop pick of the day!

Hello There!

Thank you for stopping by and checking out my first Blog Hop!  If you're here because you subscribe to my blog or if you're a visitor from Chris Kolly's blog post on February 2nd = WELCOME!  The Creative Blog Hop is quite simple.  I'm going to share what I'm working on at the moment and answer a couple questions, then I'll be directing you to a couple more friends who will be posting in the Creative Blog Hop next Monday, February 16, 2015.

Valentine's Day is the most popular day to be sending out a card to a loved one!  Wow, I thought Christmas was the most popular!  With the Valentine theme in mind, I chose one Stampin' Up! stamp set = "Hello Life" Photopolymer Stamp Set = to create three beautiful cards and matching envelopes.  Generally, I don't show off my cards until after an event. Would you like to see them now?

This top card is extremely simply and you could add a rhinestone to each of the punched out hearts to dress it up a bit.

  

The second card uses a strip of vellum with Real Red and Basic Black Inks!  The small heart is popped up with a dimensional for more texture.

The final card uses Stacked with Love DSP Stack along with those cute rhinestones and the top striped heart is popped up with a dimensional (love those!).

Where does my inspiration come from, you ask?  I have several places (Stampin' Connection, SU's Demonstrator website, Pinterest, grocery store, cheer competitions)  and friends where I find inspiration!  I love to look at other demonstrators ideas and CASE (Copy And Share Everything) their samples and use them as templates!

I love to make cards, framed projects, 3D pieces, Home Decor and Scrapbooking.

Neglected Blog

I'll admit, I've been cheating on my blog with....  my facebook page! I've neglected my blog.  There, I wrote it and it's true.  The first step towards freedom.  My name is Keri and I'm a blog neglect-er.

Here's a baby shower invite I've been working on for a friend -

This was supposed to be a simple, single layer card when I drew up a sample.  It turned into a 7 layer card with lots of great texture.  I used the Zoo Babies stamp set, Mosaic Embossing Folder along with the Dotted Embossing Folder.Their map and registry are printed on the back side of this card.  What do you think of the color scheme (Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate, Lavender Lace (retired), Vellum and Whisper White)?
