I'm back, although I'm still quite busy! Waiting on the call for my "dream job" again and preparing for a craft show next week! All that, with family and "sh-tuff" has kept me away from blogging and sharing.
Here's my rendition of a non-SU sketch and I think it's pretty nice! I'm using the Button, Button & Sew Suite stamp sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog, along with the In Stitches Jumbo wheel and Tasteful Trim XL Die.

Be My Valentine!

This is an elegant card to make for someone very special. They'll never believe how simple it was to make it, either! This heart is a single stamp available in the Occasions Mini Catalog you can view HERE.
I also used En Francais background stamp with Vellum cardstock. A little sponging adds just the right touch, too!

Looking for mojo?

Where did that word "mojo" derive? Is it really a word? I've been using it as a verb/adjective to describe my creative motivation or lack thereof. Here's what dictionary.com has to say:

mo·jo

/ˈmoʊdʒoʊ/ Show Spelled[moh-joh] S

–noun, plural mo-jos, mo-joes.

1. the art or practice of casting magic spells; magic; voodoo.

2. an object, as an amulet or charm, that is believed to carry a magic spell.

I thought I lost my mojo (my definition, not a magic spell, voodoo or the likes). However, I happened upon some paper crafter's blogs and was inspired with their non Stampin' Up ideas/sketches. I took the samples that I really liked and used them as sketches to come up with my own cards, using Stampin' Up products! Let me know if you like them. I'll be posting one a day for a few days and giving you all the item numbers for you to purchase the products to make your own!

Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog is here!

I have to say that I LOVE this new mini catalog! If you are a quilter or sew, you will especially enjoy the new products that showcase your art! I have some favorites and I'm making up lots of samples to share with you, too! Stampin' Up Designer Bags

Stampin' Up gave demonstrators the opportunity to purchase these designer bags after Leadership, which sadly I did not attend this year. They are very sturdy and as you can see by the photo, they are fun and match the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper (item #117161) that is for sale in the Occasions Mini (until April 30th)! This designer paper is a great value at 48 sheets for $24.95!
I had my stamp camp (aka hostess club) design their own matching tag with the On Board Heart Book (item #117236) piece, also in the Occasions Mini and using their favorite piece of the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper! I also pulled out my Big Shot and using the Serif Alphabet (found in the Idea Book & Catalog) I ran their monogram letter cut out on chipboard and covered with a matching piece of cardstock. Each one was different and look how cute they are!!

All Occasion Stamp A Stack

This is one of the three cards my All Occasion Stamp-a-Stack class made this past week! I was anxiously awaiting my new Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!'s Occasion Mini catalog, but it didn't come in on time! I used another dsp from a past catalog that almost matched. Isn't it beautiful? It's been CASEd from Tiffany Bauer! Thank you, Tiffany!
